This is an opportunity to live and work year round at an amazing camp facility on the Tuolumne River next to Yosemite National Park. During the summer, Tawonga hosts hundreds of children for traditional summer camp programs and in the off-season, serves families for weekend programs.
Our Maintenance Technicians work on a team with three other tradesmen, under the direction of the Manager of Buildings & Grounds. Together, they ensure the safe operation of all camp buildings, program areas, vehicles and equipment. Safety and professionalism are our highest values.
Team members must have professional experience in eight (8) or more trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing, concrete, refrigeration, pumps, vehicles, backhoe operation, swimming pools, drinking water systems, septic, painting, farm animal care, landscaping, cabinetry/furniture building, woodcrafting, and organic gardening.
Working at Tawonga is more than a job, it’s a lifestyle. To succeed one must enjoy being isolated and remote for part of the year and completely surrounded by hundreds of clients during the program season.
This is a full-time, residential position, and includes hourly wages (DOE), housing, basic utilities and generous benefits.
