Employment opportunity on the North shore of Kauai to establish and maintain 12 acre diversified organic tropical fruit orchard. Orchard to be integrated with grazing animals including chickens, sheep and goats. Also one acre of mixed vegetables. Farm has much infrastructure and equipment including tractors, mowers, seeder, sprayer, greenhouse, ag kitchen for value added products, walk in cooler, more. Small diversified orchard now producing. Owner ability to invest in additional equipment and infrastructure as needed. Farm will be open to the public, providing education and farm dinners. Farmer will be responsible for crop planning and implementation, farmers markets, employee management, basic tractor and equipment maintenance. Minimum five years organic tropical fruit and animal production experience required, preferably more. Permaculture experience also highly desirable. Salary, on site housing (for single person or family) and profit sharing. Position to begin immediately.
