Seeking an organized, self-motivated person with excellent communication skills to join the Live Earth Farm Sales team.
Job Commitment: 20 hours per week, looking to start mid-June.
Compensation: $15-$20/hour commensurate to experience plus all the organic produce you can eat.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience learning the ins and outs of direct produce sales on a diversified family farm. Hired person will work side-by-side training with our current Marketing Coordinator/Head of Sales, assisting her in weekly sales management tasks which include but are not limited to: receiving and compiling Special Orders, creating invoices in QuickBooks, communicating with field harvest crew, maintaining a work email account, and providing accounts with up-to-date field availability. This is a part-time position meant for someone who enjoys early mornings and a flexible weekly schedule. Position also includes a farmers market opportunity.
A little bit about us: Live Earth Farm is a small family farm growing a large diversity of fruits and vegetables on 80 acres nestled in the Southern foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains on the Central Coast. Established in 1996, we are committed to growing the most delicious, beautiful, and high-quality organic fruits and vegetables the land has to offer. Today, our diversified farm operation services a 600 member CSA, 5 weekly farmers markets, supplies direct retail/wholesale outlets in the greater Bay Area, and we host an on-site farm stand! Throughout the year we offer Community Farm Days, u-pick events and hands-on workshops.
