Organic farm start-up is looking for an energetic associate/partner(s) to help create a top quality sustainable farm. Applicant must have a solid sustainable agriculture background. Agricultural degree preferred.
Must have a strong work ethic. Looking for a creative thinker willing to look for quality solutions to problems and opportunities. Applicant must enjoy physical labor that farming provides. Must also have good people skills and appreciate working with the public.
You will be involved with all aspects of the business from budgeting and planning yearly crop rotations to weeding, irrigation, pest control, harvesting, prepping produce and selling at local farmers markets. We will also be pasturing poultry and small livestock in a managed rotational basis.
Must have good driving record and able to run tractor and other farm equipment. Training will be provided but applicant should be comfortable around farm equipment.
Lodging is provided free to successful applicant. Salary provided monthly. Profit sharing will be available. Couples will be considered.
