The Account Executive will communicate the HarvestPort value proposition to existing and potential customers made up primarily of growers, packers, and shippers throughout the state of California. This individual will also help champion the development and execution of short and long term regional sales goals and work closely providing feedback to our product development team. The candidate should expect a fast-paced start-up environment, where direct interaction with customers is an everyday occurrence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide consistent sales outreach to farmers and continue to communicate with customers during platform interactions to ensure the highest level of service
- Work to foster a community of customers who are engaged in creating a shared pool of agricultural equipment
- Make personal visits with growers/packers/processors in California
- Provide regular reports on sales targets and associated metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Strong interest in or experience in agriculture An ability to take complex product features and package them in a simple way that tells a story and speaks directly to customers needs
- Ability to work cross functionally in a collaborative environment with product, sales, data analytics and community to ensure consistency of messaging and efficacy of our combined efforts
- Familiarity with enterprise technology sector
- Experience with basic database management and CRM applications
- Possess exceptional individual time management skills
- Willingness to travel throughout California
- Spanish proficiency preferred
