Garden Coordinator

Camp Tawonga is a children's summer camp located in the Sierra Mountains on the doorstep of Yosemite National Park. Tawonga’s mission is to build positive self-esteem, create a cooperative community, build appreciation for nature, and foster positive Jewish identity and spirituality. Our outstanding staff includes people with both Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds.

 

We are hiring a Garden Coordinator for a three-month, paid position from May to August. Responsibilities include assisting the Farm and Garden Supervisor in managing all garden and farm operations, supporting camp’s sustainability efforts as related to food, farming and animal welfare, developing and leading excellent camp programming with a focus on the farm and garden, and collaborating with other staff on all-camp programming,

 

Applicants must be 21+ years of age and must be flexible and able to work collaboratively. Experience working in gardening, farming or animal husbandry is a plus but not required.
